One day,
for whatever reason, I found myself with one of those global positioning
devices.
As you may know these things were first developed so that the navy and
other military institutions could know the exact location of a given object.
It uses all the technology available here on earth and in outer space
for purposes of navigation, surveillance etc.
When I tried to use the thing all it could come up with was 0 degrees
by 0 degrees by 0 degrees. Others held it and it displayed the correct
longitude and latitude information. I tried it again and all I got were
zeros.
I don’t know just when I realised it.
A kind of epiphany.
I am the center of the Universe.
Not the egotistical kind of, central to all, kind of center but the actual
location in the universe. My location measured from the front of everything
to the back of everything is 0, measured from one side of everything to
the other side of everything is 0, measured from up to down is 0.
At once I decided that this knowledge must be used for the benefit of
all. I am a beacon for all who want to know just where they are in the
universe. Take my location (the center), your location (where you are),
and you can triangulate the location of anything else. Knowing your place
in relation to anything else is no longer a matter of speculation.
